This Year 6 Find Pairs of Values Teaching PowerPoint builds on pupils' understanding of algebra. Pupils will begin to find possible values of two variables in systematic order. Beginning with addition, they will go on to explore equations with multiplicative relationships.

The learning is broken into Let’s Learn sections, where new learning and vocabulary is modelled and Let’s Practise sections, where pupils immediately apply what has been taught in small sections.

To deepen understanding, this resource includes a reasoning question and a problem solving question to give pupils the opportunity to apply knowledge in new contexts.
