This Year 6 How Do We See Objects? Lesson resource is the second lesson in our 'Light' topic. In the PowerPoint, pupils will recap prior learning about light from the previous lesson and Year 3 before discovering the wonders of the eye. The key learning focuses on the functions of the pupil, iris, lens and retina and how they allow light through the eye to send signals to the brain. The lesson includes suggested tasks, assessment and a deeper thinking question - everything you need in one place!
National Curriculum Objectives:
Use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye.
Explain that we see things because light travels from light sources to our eyes or from light sources to objects and then to our eyes.
