Use these discussion prompts to get your class talking!

This KS1 I Wonder... Discussion Prompts resource includes thirty-six open-ended and thought-provoking questions, designed to promote discussion around children's reasoning and assist with oracy skills. These are taken directly from our popular Wake Up and Work resources.

Questions include:

• What makes someone or something a hero?

• What would life be like if there was no transport?

• Which animal is the kindest, and why?

While aimed at Years 1 and 2, these could easily be used within other year groups!

Each question is presented as one page within the PDF download, giving you the flexibility to display at any point during the school day easily. Beyond that, they could also be used to stimulate discussion at the start of an assembly or printed onto A5 for at-table conversation and written responses... the choice is yours!
