This Key Stage 1 Rise and Read St Dwynwen's Day resource includes four reading activities focused on St Dwynwen. It is suitable for use in Years 1 and 2 and could be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in reading, RE or PSHE lessons. However you choose to use it, children will not only sharpen their reading skills but also learn more about St Dwynwen and how she is remembered.

The pack includes two information texts, a diary entry and an image. These lead to questions which focus on a variety of reading skills: vocabulary, prediction, purpose, inference and retrieval. There is also an assessment style question with a focus on identifying true or false statements.
