This KS1 Rise and Read St Patrick's Day resource includes four reading activities focused on St Patrick's Day. It is suitable for use in Years 1 and 2 and could be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in reading, RE or PSHE lessons or even as a stimulus in assemblies. However you choose to use it, children will not only sharpen their reading skills but also learn more about this patron saints day.

The pack includes two information texts, a poem and an image. These lead to questions which focus on a variety of reading skills: retrieval, summary, vocabulary, prediction and inference. There is also an assessment style question with a focus on selecting true and false statements based on the text.

This resource does not require any printing as it has been specially designed to be displayed on the whiteboard.
