Discover the frightening reality of life in World War II with our KS2 Letters from the Trenches Guided Reading Pack. Written in the style of a series of letters, pupils will read about life during World War II from the perspective of the soldiers. Children will learn about the features of informal letters, retrieve information and make inferences based on different character's language. This resource also comes accompanied by additional tasks focused upon word definitions and commas.

National Curriculum Objectives:

- develop positive attitudes to reading, and an understanding of what they read, by listening to and discussing a wide range of fiction, poetry, plays, non-fiction and reference books or textbooks
