This KS2 Rise and Read Bees resource includes four reading activities about bees. It is suitable for use in Years 3 to 6 and can be displayed on the whiteboard as early morning work, used in guided reading sessions or shared during assemblies. However you choose to use it, children will develop their reading skills while learning more about these amazing insects.

The pack includes two information texts, an image and a poem. These are followed by questions that focus on a range of reading skills: retrieval, purpose, summary, vocabulary, prediction and inference. There is also an assessment-style question which focuses on choosing true and false statements based on the text.

This resource does not require any printing, as it has been specially designed to be displayed on the whiteboard.
