Adding ‘-s’ or ‘-es’ Application

Worksheet

Challenge your children with this Year 1 Adding ‘-s’ or ‘-es' Application worksheet. Using a given picture, children generate words which they can make plural using ‘-s’ or ‘-es' and complete the table. They then choose two words to write in a sentence.

This worksheet would be a great assessment tool as children use what they know about adding '-s' and '-es' to make plurals to apply it to their writing. This activity can be completed independently but could also be used as a discussion point for small groups or interventions. The worksheet comes with a model answer which can be shared with the children as a good example or to aid your marking.
