This Year 1 Recognising 'ing', 'ed' and 'er' worksheet provides children with the opportunity to practice applying their knowledge and giving reasons as to why suffixes have been added and how they change the meaning of the root word. The worksheets allow children to compare different suffixes and decide which has the correct meaning in the given context.

These worksheets have been differentiated three ways allowing your children to work at their own level. There is also an answer sheet included to cut down your marking time.
