This Year 6 Subjunctive Form in Formal Speech and Writing Prior Learning worksheet covers previous Y6 learning and is a fantastic resource to use to assess children's understanding of formal and informal language before they move on to the main lesson on using the subjunctive form. With three varied fluency, two reasoning and one application question, children are asked to answer questions such as identifying formal and informal language in text and explaining whether a letter that has been written is formal or informal and why.

Use this resource as a way to assess children's prior knowledge before moving on or alternatively, this could be used for those children who are less confident with questions.
