Use this Year 6 Area of a Parallelogram Varied Fluency resource to give your class practice calculating the area of a range of parallelograms.
The worksheet starts with a question to help children understand how the area of a parallelogram is calculated and progresses on to using a formula to work it out. In the last question, children calculate the areas of two parallelograms and compare them using comparison symbols. Each question has two similar parts to promote fluency.
An answer sheet is also available for teachers and children who are self-marking their work.
A reasoning and problem solving resource is also available for this small step.
