This Year 6 Area of a Triangle (Using Formula) Varied Fluency worksheet builds on the previous small step about finding a triangle's area by counting squares to show how to use a formula (base x height divided by 2) to calculate any triangle's area. Beginning with a question that shows the link between a rectangle's area and a triangle's area to consolidate learning, children will then use a formula to calculate area of triangles then apply that to find the area of shapes comprised of multiple triangles.
