Use this Year 6 Identifying Verbs in Sentences Mixed Activity worksheet to support children with their understanding of identifying action, auxiliary and linking verbs in sentences. With three varied fluency, two reasoning and one application question, children are given the opportunity to practise answering questions which require identifying different types of verbs in sentences.

This resource would make an excellent assessment for teaching staff to use to gauge what the children understand about different types of verbs. It comes with an answer sheet to help with self or peer marking.
