This Year 6 Solving Equations with Two Unknowns Reasoning and Problem Solving worksheet will help children understand how to calculate the value of an unknown (represented by a letter) that has been used two or more times in an equation. Children will reason whether a bar model has been used correctly to solve an equation with two unknowns, find three ways to complete an equation using two unknowns and explain who has solved an equation correctly from some talking heads. All answers are given so that marking is as simple as possible!

Note: the 'a' column uses whole numbers and the 'b' column introduces decimals and fractions.
