Y1 Grammar Punctuation and Spelling
This Comparing and Correcting 'ing', 'ed' and 'er' lesson covers the prior learning of recognising and using 'ing', 'ed' and 'er', before moving onto the main skill of comparing and correcting words ending in the 'ing', 'ed' and 'er' suffixes.
The lesson starts with a prior learning activity to check pupils’ understanding. If they need more practice, you can choose other resources for that step. Children can then practise further by completing the activities and can extend their learning with engaging reasoning and application tasks.
National Curriculum Objective
