This Year 5 Area of Irregular Shapes IWB Activity includes three questions designed to check pupils' understanding of finding the area of irregular shapes. Pupils will look at a map and decide which statements are correct about the areas of some of the features, count squares to calculate area and compare the area of three similar shapes to decide whether they are approximately the same or not.
