Year 6 A Silver Encounter Reader's Theatre

This Year 6 A Silver Encounter Reader's Theatre consists of a Reading Fluency pack for children, a Reader's Theatre teaching PowerPoint for modelling, and a miscue analysis intervention, all created to help your class develop their fluency in reading, and ultimately their comprehension skills.

Follow the timetable provided in the pack and model fluency and expression through repeated oral reading, then watch your children progress across the week as they begin to internalise the text, develop expression, understand tone and volume, and truly get to grips with the text. Within the pack is a close reading exercise, questioning the children's understanding of how tone and expression effect the text, a phrase-marking sheet to encourage children to add their own expression to the text, and a feedback rubric, so that children can visualise the progress they've had across the week. No props, no learning off-by-heart; just reading fluency fun.
